A Case of Homosexuality in a Woman in Modern Vienna<\/em> (Routledge). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austrianresistance.org\/?p=582\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laudatio<\/a> by Margarete Lamb-Faffelberger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s prize was awarded to <strong>Brett E. Sterling<\/strong>\u00a0(<span class=\"affiliation\">University of Arkansas)<\/span> for his book,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/boydellandbrewer.com\/9781640140042\/hermann-broch-and-mass-hysteria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cHermann Broch and Mass Hysteria. Theory and Representation in the Age of Extremes<\/a>\u201d (Boydell &amp; Brewer \/ <span class=\"a-list-item\">Camden House<\/span>, 2022). A report about the awarding ceremony in Montreal, on October 6, has been published on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.austrianresistance.org\/?p=529\">this website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2022 the prize committee again awarded two prizes:<\/p>\n<p>To <strong>Zachary Doleshal<\/strong> for his book \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/utorontopress.com\/9781487524449\/in-the-kingdom-of-shoes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">In the Kingdom of Shoes<\/a>. Bata, Zl\u00edn, Globalization, 1894\u20131945\u201d (University of Toronto Press, 2021), and<\/p>\n<p>to<strong> Chad Bryant<\/strong> for his book \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hup.harvard.edu\/catalog.php?isbn=9780674048652\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prague: Belonging and the Modern City<\/a>\u201d (Harvard University Press, 2021).<\/p>\n<p>The prizes were awarded during the Forty-Sixth Annual Conference of the German Studies Association.
